My Poetry
As now I tread with a load of dreams
Awaiting not for a thousand schemes;
Along with others by age behest
Still knowing truly that I am blessed!
Along my journey, as time will tell
No rabbit-foot needed to ring my bell;
But with Holy Ghost feeling, and a state of Grace
All comes together here -- in God's stately place!

Remember Me
When comes the day I return to dust,
As inevitably we all must,
Lay me down, though not with tears,
But joy for all the happy years.
Remember me in all things I love,
A rainbow arc in the sky above,
In winds that sing to swaying trees,
And moonlights glow on velvet seas.
Remember me in a summer storm
With lightning streaks in brilliant form,
In an evening sunsets fiery blush
And twilights quiet, sleepy hush.
My spirit will live on, I pray,
In all Ive touched along the way.
And if thoughts of me invoke a smile,
Ill know my life has been worthwhile.

After-Glow
Id like the memory of me to be a happy one.
Id like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done.
Id like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
Id like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun
Heres to happy memories I leave when life is done
Up Lifted
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My lifes been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Oldie but Goodie
Laugh, and the world laughs with you,
Weep, and you weep alone,
For sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
But has trouble enough of its own.
Miss me, but let me go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free
Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the joy that we once shared
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey that we must all take
And each must go alone
It's all a part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely, and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me - but let me go
